CLASSIFYING WASTE AT SOURCE

Including decomposable waste, persistent waste, recyclable waste and hazardous waste.

1. Decomposable waste:

+ Source of organic waste from restaurants, hotels and associated smoothie business includes vegetables, fruits, banana leaves, fruit peels, coffee and tea grounds, egg shells, seafood of any kind, etc. and leftovers without oil and salty taste.  Source of green waste from gardens includes weeds, leaves, and flowers, etc. Source of waste from office: shredded paper, cardboard. All of the waste is collected from company’s businesses, transported by electric cars to KyBiMo organic vegetable garden as food source for earthworms to produce compost.

+ Source of waste from leftovers with oil and salty taste is collected by households and used to feed the cattle.

2. Persistent waste: Plastic bags of all types, milk containers, scum, etc. are scheduled to be collected by Hoi An Public Works Joint Stock Company in accordance with contract.

3. Recyclable waste: Types of plastic bottles, cartoon boxes, cans, etc. sold to the purchasing unit with recycling function.

4. Hazardous waste: Batteries, electronic equipment (bulbs, circuits, electric boards, televisions, air conditioners, etc.), lubricants drained from cars, generators, tourist boats, glass bottles, etc., are contracted with unit having collecting function; an amount of lubricant is reused for the maintenance of wood, rattan, and bamboo equipment.
