Associated with ecological environment

Officially started in July 2018, Kymibo Garden (Dong Na village, Cam Ha commune, Hoi An city) is a beautiful ecological garden with nearly 100 types of vegetables, including red artichoke, passion fruit, okra. , peanut, tomato ...

Mr. Pham Vu Dung - Director of Hoa Hong Tourist Service Co., Ltd., the owner of the garden, said that building the farm not only helps the unit to actively provide many green - clean products, but also aims to change. tourist awareness of the environment when visiting and experiencing this place.

“From 2019, the company has set a focus on developing clean agricultural products in association with the community. In particular, Kymibo Garden is built by us to become a closed product model with restaurants, coffee shops and many varieties of vegetables to ensure to serve customers, mainly traditional European - American customers or High-class Asian guests are responsible for the environment ”- Mr. Dung shared.

According to Mr. Pham Vu Dung, in addition to Kymibo Garden, the company is currently implementing 2 other projects in Cam Ha commune, including medicinal plant garden and agricultural experience zone, basket boat, kayak ... for tourists. . The common point of these gardens is that farming is associated with organic waste treatment through worm farming. On average, each garden composts more than 100 kilograms of garbage a day, equivalent to about 400 tons of trash / year.

In the past few years, ecotourism products have become familiar to many people and are expected to have a surge when tourism recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the fear of crowded places. with nature.

In Hoi An, in addition to Kymibo Garden, there are also ecotourism models such as An Nhien Farm, Heal Organic Farm or Tra Que vegetable gardens, Thanh Dong, An My ... In which, Heal Organic Farm gathers Nearly 10 businesses join in with the desire to protect nature, return what inherent to nature for the same direction towards sustainability.

Chance after translation

For many years pursuing eco-tourism products, Mr. Phan Xuan Thanh - General Director of Emic Hospitality Hoi An Co., Ltd acknowledged that, after the Covid-19 epidemic, or more precisely, 1 - In the next 2 years, green tourism will play a key role. Therefore, from now on, Hoi An should choose to develop tourism products in this direction, which is both sustainable but also ensures its advantages in the process of attracting post-translation tourists.

“Green agricultural products will be associated with waste processing, composting to create vegetable gardens for guests to experience. This issue is not only consistent with the post-epidemic trend but also in the future, that is the circular economy associated with garbage sorting and processing ”- Mr. Thanh analyzed.

Although the opening of Hoi An tourism does not know when it will take place because it depends on the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic, according to Mr. Vo Phung - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Tourism Association, this is only an early problem. or late. Therefore, we should not wait for the Government to announce the end of the epidemic, but right now the tourism industry, Hoi An and businesses must actively build scenarios and plans to respond to when the epidemic stops.

"It must be recognized that the translation has made the street, tourist area, and accommodation ..." deserted ", not" abandoned ", tourism activities just" stopped ", not" collapsed ". We do not have to lose everything, but only temporarily, so we have to be ready to warm up and welcome the guests again as soon as the translation stops "- Mr. Phung said.

Therefore, each unit, tourism business must be responsible, even share opportunities for each other, in which the State needs to play the role of conductor. There must be a synchronous solution such as upgrading product quality, service, accommodation, service; focus on better care of typical products that have become Hoi An's brands such as "lifestyle, lifestyle", peaceful old town, clean - green beach, peaceful countryside ... associated with that is attract domestic market and some Asian markets with suitable products.

In the long term, there should be a strategy to embellish, upgrade and diversify products with very good quality for each type of customer, regardless of a few customer markets as recently. Guests wishing to live slowly and relax will have old towns, villages, craft villages, and art activities; like to experience, there are islands, festivals; If you like excitement, there are 24-hour dining entertainment centers ...
